How come it's a lower CPC for Calls only?

For our examples based in the US, it is cheaper (as shown). It won't be the exact same result for every country, which is also why we recommend starting with the US. Also, while the cost may be more on a call only ad click, consider that most of those clicks will result in a live call. Whereas the clicks for regular search will take more clicks for the same result (and that IS more expensive).

Assuming Ad text (and landing page conversion rate) is the same, there is no cost benefit of Call-Only Ads?

A click on a Call Only Ad, the person never sees a landing page. Their phone is populated with a phone number to dial and all they have to do is hit the call button on their phone. No landing page is ever seen. On regular search, they HAVE to go to a landing page. Big difference in total cost per call between the two, for sure

Can you explain me why Google would set the CPC for calls lower?

My educated guess is volume differences between the two countries. More call volume possible means cheaper cost per click for call only ads. In the US, they ARE cheaper.

We would recommend anything in Home services like pest control, Electricians- Health like insurance and medicare -Legal and urgency.

You can take a look at video 45 for more details. And no, it shouldn't matter as long as you followed how it was done in the training.

Your bid strategy settings are covered in the training. Manual CPC, uncheck "enable enhanced cpc". I would start as low as possible and increase from there. Google Forwarding Numbers take the place of your numbers. It doesn't matter if it is a local or toll free, Google will be showing their numbers, not yours.

Will the fact that there is no SEO website hinder my Adwords PPCall Ad campaigns with Google?

It will not. All you need is to follow the training provided and set up a single site (For Adwords purposes only). The site we teach you to build has "Manufactured SEO" or "On page SEO" just for Adwords, to see the relevance between KWs and the page (for QS).

Should I set a high bid or auto bid for Adwords?

Your bid strategy settings are covered in the training. Manual CPC, uncheck "enable enhanced CPC". I would start low at $2 max CPC and increase from there. This reveals the profitable "low hanging fruit" while at the same time getting you the data you need to optimize.

Should I start increasing the bids only for keywords with impressions and/or those "below first page bid"?

You increase bids Campaign Wide to start. Get more impressions and clicks, then when you have data, start shutting off non performing KWs.

Should I bid as low as taught in the training?

Google will tell you if you are below the recommended daily budget and if you are losing clicks due to not having enough money. Should I raise a bid on all of the KWs, or should I wait?

If you want more impressions and clicks on a campaign that's not optimized starting out, you need to raise your bids. I want you to do this "raising bids" process so you can see the low hanging fruit first. How slow or fast you do this process ultimately, is totally up to you.

How do I, in Adwords editor, filter ad groups that don't have keywords associated with them and delete them?

Ad groups without KWs in them (using editor) would have a little yellow triangle warning next to each ad group. Sort by the status column on the left hand side of the main box on top to remove all that are yellow warnings (control + A is your friend too).

What happens to the additional terms with negative KWs?

If you have KWs that have negative KWs in them, they won't show ads.

How do I avoid missed calls?

Missed calls are rare if setup is done correctly. This is also assuming your KWs and campaigns are driving people that want to make call. A missed call is either an error in your phone number/Kallzu setup (refer to training) or it's a targeting issue (if setup is working correctly). From the information you gave me (1 very limited screenshot), I have no way of knowing exactly where your problem is, but I can at least give the only two possibilities of where the problem is.

There are more clicks in Adwords than calls in the Kallzu dashboard, is that normal?

That is an IVR issue (based on recordings). The affiliate platform will be able to help you with that. The clicks will not match the number of calls. You are still paying for the click, not the call. The difference between clicks and calls is known as the PTR (phone through rate). 4 clicks and 1 call = 25% PTR. 10 clicks and 6 calls = 60% PTR. Ideally, you want to have a campaign start at 50% PTR and increase from there.

All my KW are not showing in My Adwords account. What should I do?

Nothing shows in your actual account until you post the changes in the editor.

How often do you check on the campaign and start optimizing it?

I optimize on it whenever conversions come in. Based on my schedule, I only get to login to my accounts a few times a week. Time is irrelevant when collecting data (in terms of "how much time"). It is about having enough data to see patterns emerge. When you can see a pattern, you optimize for it. Go over part 7 for this training, it's all there.

Should I optimize my Local campaign first and then take that data to scale out Nationally?

Local to National you can do. I recommend the way I show which is National to Local (for better and faster data). I teach to take a dialed in National campaign and clone it for Local clients. There are many ways to go after this. Do what works for you and your business. Most importantly, just do it!

How long should I run the initial campaign that has 10k or more keywords to get the data?

This is not a question that has a set answer (in a number figure). The answer is, when you have enough data that you can start to see patterns that you can act on and optimize for (locations, KWs that convert, times of day and days of week, etc.) I recommend reviewing training under Part 7 for this again, it covers all this.

When doing the Local client strategy, in same major city, say for 5 clients, would I need a different phone number, URL for the ad copy?

You can setup a Round Robin in Kallzu for this (see support videos inside the Kallzu platform). We don't teach setting up 5 numbers at first for local clients. When we go into an area with adwords or any other traffic source driving calls, we do a Round Robin and find the one, sometimes two clients keep in that area. So in that case, you would duplicate your campaign. That duplication process is par t of a training series that is being release in the coming weeks (Battle of Ft. Lauderdale).

When going to another city, how do I use same domain & the KWs that I am currently using & want to show the same Ads for?

Duplicate your campaign, and change your phone and ad copy. URLs can stay the same if not using location based KWs.

Yes, 1 KW per 1 Ad Group. See rule listed below. You can have up to 20,000 per Adgroup.

Should we use our normal account and real IP address, or our profile with proxy account?

You may use and do everything like normal. Google wants and likes it when you're transparent. Do everything above board and you'll do well and be fine.

How do I set up the Main Campaign, Search campaign and Test campaign?

Watch Coaching Call #8 and 9. Also check out the Pest Control Case Study under Part 9. Basically, you only use the original campaigns to test which keywords get conversions & find new KWs from the search queries to add. Once a kw gets a conversion, transfer them to the search only campaign. We then optimise only the KWs in the search only campaign & delete from original

Will there be other suggestions besides pest control?

The Home Services niche (especially those of High Buyer urgency), health legal and anything with urgency or a great want.

Why would I get more clicks simply by changing my daily budget even though the total cost of the clicks never reached my total daily budget amount?

We recommend starting with enough of a budget to drive calls, but be still be able to scale up by daily budget, once my campaign is dialed in. The daily spend is dependent on the volume, so it will be used up if there is enough volume. Also, Google will tell you if you are below the recommended daily budget and if you are losing clicks due to to not enough money (Check Part 7 of the training for how to read reports and numbers).

You can't make intelligent decisions on data you don't have yet. Look for clear patterns that show in your data. If yo...

Would you advise to hire a Yellow Pages scraper and list all the Business Names related to my root KWs in order to put them into a giant Negative keyword list?

These can actually be profitable because in searching for their website, individuals might be directed to your site and give you clicks. You would need to run ad copy that clearly lets them know it isn't the business they searched for, but a different one. If you cannot do this (affiliate offer restrictions), then you should be able to use the Search Terms screen just fine. Keep an eye on it and add negatives as they come through.

Initially, do we really make 5,000 -20,000 ad groups?

You will add only 2 ads (one dynamic KW, one generic ad), 1 KW per 1 ad group. Please review Keyword Discovery Part 5 and Part 8 and the Battle of Fort Lauderdale page. You may upload the KWs and ad groups with the Adwords editor.

What’s the best practice to add them in Adwords campaign location settings; by City or by Zip codes?

If an Affiliate Offer has Zip codes , you run by Zip codes.

Adwords campaign location limit is 10K but Advertiser gave me a list with 20K Zip codes. What do I do?

Location limits are 10k per campaign, so you would run two identical campaigns, with only the locations being different between the two campaigns. Same settings, nothing changes, just locations (10k in one, 10k in the other).

Does pausing a campaign have a negative effect overall Ad performance?

Pausing is not advised. Each time you pause it takes google awhile to adjust to when you start back up. Campaigns that are left running and just optimized see better long term results, because they spend the most money and have less down time for google to deal with.

Does it hurt the Campaign if max. spending is less than $50-$100 per day?

Not if you do not have the volume to use the budget; if you do have a lot of volume, you would need to raise the budget.

What do we do to overcome Google telling us that the Ads are now disapproved because the telephone number is not verified?

You always need to use the same Phone number on both the website and on the Ad. It can never be different. Also, please review Video #45 - Call Only Ads: Website Conversion Setup with regards to the Website conversion code.

You can find more information on voicemail drops by doing a quick Google search or looking at the other voicemail drop services ...

Do I use the copy/paste functionality of Adwords into the Campaign Winning?

Yes, you would.

Is it okay to pause my Adword Groups?

How do I increase bids for locations and/or time slots with high conversions?

We use a Below First Page Bid strategy (part 7). When you dial in (optimize the converting KWs) then you won't have to raise bids to accomplish higher page position-in most cases. Also in Part 7, Video #51 for Dimensions data optimization. Dimensions data optimization is also covered in the coaching calls section (look for where it is listed).

How can I get more detailed Search numbers for each KW?

Adwords shows KW traffic estimates when you aren't paying for ads. When you start running at least one campaign, then you'll see exact numbers. Our KW review requests are not based on traffic estimates from the KW planner. This is because the KW planner is for regular google search, not call only ads. We recommend studying Ms. Jeanne's case study put. 3 and Coaching call #3 (https://kallzu.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/3) for help with your KWs.

Should I reduce the conversion time in AdWords, so I can see which keywords generate calls (even if they don't formally qualify)?

You should be able to see phone calls regardless of conversion showing them or not. If you don't see a column for "Phone calls", look under Columns>Modify Columns and you'll see it under Call Details. Just add it to your screen. Note, not all views have the Phone Calls Column available. your campaign level will have it for sure. That said, if your calls are qualified not on time basis, yet whether the call is legitimate, then I say go for 1 second. This will help your calls show up more in c...

If you have the time and resources, 60 - 90 days is even better. 30 days will do though. Also, check your PTR. Make sure...

You will build a page for each conversion, and for the search term (what was typed in) you will add new WK ideas to the campaign based on that. Later, if those new KW ideas convert...repeat the process.

How do format pages for top 10 KWs?

Those 10 that we build out for you are for when you have converting KWs that you want to build pages out for. We use the exact same process taught which is click a duplicate button and make a few small copy/paste changes. You would copy/paste from your original page for your new converting KW pages. It's so easy, we usually only do this for people who have no clue how to duplicate a page (even after watching a training). We haven't had to do this for one person yet (because it's that easy).

Should I start with a national campaign or is it ok to just focus one three states before going national?

This depends on your objectives. National makes more sense for both options (affiliate only and transition to local clients). As the national data will confirm the "hot spots" for you to go and get clients in first (always be thinking low hanging fruit).

Should I start with a National Campaign or is it ok to just focus on 3 States before going National?

What about grouping like KWs within Adgroups rather than one KWs per Adgroup?

It's not like you'll get more traffic by grouping KWs together. We do 1 KW per ad group to track exactly which KW gave us the search term that drove a conversion. When looking at search terms, you can sort by conversions and see EXACTLY where the money is at.

How do I improve the Quality Score?

QS doesn't change overnight. It takes time money and traffic ultimately to improve QS (once you have optimized the KW with pages). Blank QS are just Google's way of saying there isn't enough traffic yet to determine your QS. They used to just assign QS 6 out of the gate for all KWs, now they show blanks until a QS can be determined. Improve CTR. Increase bids. Optimize the landing page. Run ads over time. Use Search Terms screen to find long tail versions (cheaper and more targeted) of your con...

How do I deal with the timezone differences UK and USA?

You can change your schedule, hire a sales person/staff or quit. Those are the three that come to my mind first.

How much should I increase my bids to increase my call quality?

You only increase bids after you start optimizing what is converting. Focus on the converting KWs first, then branch out into new KW ideas (as taught in training). Marlon gets a premium for his leads because they are LIVE CALLS and exclusive. Not to mention his service (Kallzu platform and how he runs the back office) is top notch compared to his competition. Bottom line, these kind of leads are worth way more, because they do convert better, when targeted right.

Would it be advisable to move my bid up another $10 and use Phrase match?

Spend with little to zero calls means low intent for calling. KWs would most likely be your issue. Remember KWs is 80% of the heavy lifting here. Check your search terms to see what people are typing in and to reveal their intent. Most likely, they aren't wanting to make a call, hence clicks, but no calls/conversions. We have great training covering KW intent as well as PTR.

Is this normal for Low Search Volume KWs to show up and should I continue to expect this for a while?

Low search volume is something you want to check on from time to time. Remove them when you see them, as soon as you see them. Make it part of your weekly check in on the campaigns.

What do I do if I had a call come through to my mobile but nothing is showing up on my conversion column in Adwords?

Conversion data is delayed in Adwords by 8 hours. It says so at the bottom of the Search Terms screen.

Would 1-2 months at $100/day allow for enough data/optimization to be able to re-create Local Campaigns for Clients?

The data will let you know exactly, but 1-2 months of 100/day would definitely give you a good amount of initial data. Will it be enough to make the transition? You'll need to do the math on cost per call you're generating and then what you can sell them for locally. Then you'll have your answer.

How do I replicate the same campaign in another city with the URL's & sub domains for the keywords that are generating the leads?

On Google Adwords go to Campaigns then settings under the settings under locations click on edit and click on nearby you'll have a window with a map click on bulk locations and add all the locations you are targeting. You can find campaign duplication training at the bottom of Part 8 (Battle of Fort Lauderdale) with a direct link.

There is maximum number of characters Google allows you to type. Just make sure you do not type over the maximum characters allowed which is 35 (after the "Keyword:" part of the Dynamic ad).

Why would I get more clicks with lower bids?

The idea is to gather research on KWs using the KW planner. We start low on bids and then increase slowly over time. Even if KWs are not at recommended bids, they will still get traffic and you will still see conversions. This is called the low hanging fruit. Then we work our way up by using the below first page bid strategy, getting all the rest of the profitable and converting KWs. Raising your bids will raise your QS (to a point) and from there if your ads are performing well, your QS will go...

It would appear the best way to set up the campaign is with a super cheap bid amount, am I correct?

The aim is to raise bids until you start to see traffic come through, then use the below first page bid strategy (part 7).

How can Google track a phone call?

You pay per click, but the click will populate your phone number in their dialer app (ads only show on devices that can make phone calls). Google tracks all data using their own forwarding phone numbers. No one ever sees your landing page because of this process.

Start at a lower rate. The objective is to find the lowest hanging fruit (cheapest converting KWs) first. Then work your way up using the Below First Page Bid Strategy.

Follow Should I have a certain number of clicks or other metric in mind before I start optimizing?

That depends on your spend rate and your data collected. You can't make intelligent decisions on data you don't have yet. Look for clear patterns that show in your data. If you need examples, look at coaching call #8 and #9.

Do I need to register a business before starting out?

It's not mandatory.

Instead of four different campaigns, should I roll them into one national campaign with multiple Geographic targets and add Cities as I go?

For one client that wants to expand into multiple areas, 1 campaign wouldn't be a bad idea. If you start over now, it will affect you short term, but long term will be much easier to manage. The drawback is your dimensions data will change with each area, I would keep them separate, even though it is all for the same client. What I might do instead is create a separate ad account specifically for that one client and all their campaigns.

What are the steps before I start optimizing my campaign?

- Make new pages for the converting keywords. - Move those keywords to new campaign; this campaign will only have converting keywords. - Make subdomain for the keyword and redirect to the landing page. - Point the ad or keyword destination URL to this subdomain. - Delete the keyword from the old campaign.

What is the best way to add all of the KWs to my Campaign at once?

Using the Adwords Editor, you can first create the KWs on a google sheet or excel file and add them to your campaign.

What should my Max CPC be for each keyword?

We recommend you start your bids low. It is going to be different for every offer and locations used. Start at $2-3 and raise them as needed (if no impressions at current bid). Once you start to see impressions flow, then hold off on your bid increases. Collect all the low hanging fruit (converting KWs) then move on to raising your bids using the below first page bid strategy found in Part 7.

Thoughts? Words of Advice?

We recommend starting low ($1-3) and seeing what converts. If you aren't receiving any impressions, then your bids are too low. Which means you need to raise the bids a couple of dollars at a time until you start to see traffic. When you see impressions, then you can stop raising bids for a bit and see what converts. Optimize your converting KWs the n move on to the next level of bid increase and optimize those new converting KWs that come in. This is the below first page bid strategy found in P...

Is the number of KWs (110) too low? Do I need to work on more keywords?

You should have way more KWs that are not low search volume. Yes, a lot will be low search volume, but only having 110 KWs to start isn't near enough. Once you remove low search volume KWs, run with those, then add in new KW ideas as you go.

My campaign is for local clients. Should I go low with bids as taught in the training or not necessary?

Start as low as you can to see traffic. It will be different for every vertical. If that means $1, then it means $1. Google will tell you where to start more or less to start getting traffic in. Google will also tell you if you are below the recommended daily budget and if you are losing clicks due to not assigning enough money. Start with enough of a budget to drive calls, but be still be able to scale up by daily budget, once your campaign is dialed in. When you're getting traffic, you'll sto...

Do you have any advice for Local Client Campaigns?

Review the Location Settings. Since it is a Local Client offer, add the Counties and Zip codes for the locations as well. Remember KWs are 80% of the heavy lifting here. Study up on KW Robot Syndrome located in Ms. Jeanne's case study part 3 and coaching call #3. Review the Search terms training for new KW ideas. Broad Match OR BMM AND Phrase AND Exact version (so 3 total versions of the KW). Delete all low search volume regardless of this (if they show up).

Do I create 10-20 ads and assign to them via AdWords Editor all at once to one campaign? Or somehow segment the ad groups and assign ads closely related to the KWs?

When you see impressions, then you can stop raising bids for a bit and see what converts. Optimize your converting KWs then move on to the next level of bid increase and optimize those new converting KWs that come in. This is the below first page bid strategy found in Part 7. As for lead pricing, check out coaching calls #8 and #9 for market research (which will tell you exactly everything you need to know about your vertical and pricing).

When I hit Test Call on an offer page, do I just cut it off before it actually goes to a live person?

Cutting off before they answer or as they answer is fine. It will show as a test call and you won't get credit for it from the affiliate network anyway.

Am I just being impatient and need to slowly increase my bid or is it because my keywords have no Quality Score?

You can try manual CPC, raise bids until you start to see traffic come through. Also, you need to target the problems and urgency. Once you have enough impressions running, then your QS will be determined. No catch .22, it just takes time in dialing it in with the low hanging fruit. It only gets better from here!

How do I import KWs so that they are imported and created into one Adgroup each?

This would have to be done manually or using the Adwords Editor. Adwords Editor traiinng is on video #61 (Part 8). For manual loading, see Part 7.

Campaign been running a week with VERY LOW impressions. Do you know why?

12 - 15 clicks, not calls. When you have things dialed in, you can get 80%+ PTR. If you need to know what PTR is, go through the training. Ideally you want a campaign to start at at least 50% PTR.

I had a keyword convert but the call was an angry person who wanted to be taken off the email list. Would you build a page and Subdomain for this or not?

I would keep the KW...for now. If it continues to drive poor results (call recordings)., then I would get rid of the KW. If it drives the quality it needs to, then keep it. It is one you'll want to monitor.

At the video 47.1 says Google forwarding phone number. What is this?

Do I pause the first Campaign and add the new KWS to my original list?

Add the new KWs. Don't pause the campaign, just add.

Should I conclude that more KWs might translate into at least a call or two over the next few weeks?

High intent KWs and increasing your bids as you go (testing) will give you more clicks and calls. If your call rate is low compared to your clicks (less than 50% PTR), then you aren't on target with either Ad copy, KW intent or a combination of the two.

I increased my bids and then a few days later, I am still at the same spot and the required bid is even higher. Is this normal?

Bids increase like that when you have competition out bidding you.

Do I add converting KWs to a new Campaign the same way 1 Kw per ad-group is added? Or do I add them all in one Campaign?

Do I add separate Campaigns of Exact and Phrase match for converting KWs or do i add Phrase and Exact match KWs together in one Campaign?

Phrase and Exact can be in same Campaign

How do I decide on which 10 KWs to start with? (Do I usually start with like 10 pages when I am just starting a new Campaign and have no data?)

The 10 KWs we help you build out for, are 10 of the KWs that drive conversions/calls for you. Initially, you drive all KWs to one page to see which KWs convert. THEN, you submit a review request with the proper formatting to get your 10 KW pages made.

With a Call Only Ad, how is it that I can be charged for a Click without getting a Call?

The click populates the user's phone with your phone number. That is when and what you are charged for. The user still has to hit the call button on their phone. Whether they do or not, you get charged for the click. The difference between clicks and calls is known as PTR.

Where do I increase the Bid price for a specific KW? In the Ad groups or in Keywords section?

You can do it from either KW or Ad Group. I recommend Ad Group level, because KW level then automatically runs what Ad Group level is set at. If set at KW level, it will override what is set at Ad Group level.

Old and new together, no need for deleting old ones. You can use the Adwords Editor to copy/paste the new list (just like old one) into the same campaign. No need to do them individually.

Why does it seem that even though I allow 90 seconds for the IVR they still discount the call?

The call duration of 90 seconds is calculated on after the IVR duration. It doesn't include the IVR in the 90 seconds. You'll want to listen to your call recordings as well as look at your search terms for KWs and KW ideas to expand on and target on.

How do I improve the above Stats and make the Campaigns profitable?

Use dimensions to increase bid adjustments and optimize on your converting KWs. Use search terms and call recordings for KW ideas to expand on and optimize for on the winners/conversions. Also speak with your AM about the IVR (after listening to your calls) and see if the IVR can be improved for more conversions. Not to mention a possible increase in your payout per conversion and what that might look like.

Why do we use single KW per Adgroup?

I have a few keywords with 6-8/10 QS; most with blank. How do I get a QS for the blanks?

QS doesn't change overnight. It takes time money and traffic ultimately to improve QS (once you have optimized the KW with pages). Should I target Suburb by Suburb in separate Campaigns and look for Clients in each?

I would do city by city. If it's a large city, you can split it up. Ultimately, there are going to be certain areas that perform better than others. Your data will answer this question for you over time. Note: It takes more time for data to tell you what to do in a local targeting campaign. Because it is much smaller volume than a national campaign.

I removed a couple of thousand KWs that had Low Search Volume. This means I have Adgroups with no KWs. Is there a fast way to do this?

There are two ways: Adwords platform upper right hand corner, you should have a notification about some ad groups not having KWs or ads in them. You can click that notification and it will take you to a management screen for that. Or you can use the Adwords Editor, by clicking on the campaign, then ad groups and sorting by the notification status column on the left hand side of the top main section of the Adwords Editor screen. You should see a bunch of red circles (indicating error).

How do I stop Google from calling the Client and verifying the number?

You don't. The way around it is to submit everything live and forward the kallzu number to you until your campaign is up and running (ads approved). When ads are approved, you forward the number to where it needs to go. The forwarding is optional and I have never had to use it for approval. I just leave the number not forwarded until things are live and I get approved every time.

What do I do about the errors on the setup of my Account?

Clear out all Ad groups that no longer have KWs in them. Click on error message and you can do it easily. Or use Adwords Editor to delete ad groups with no KWs in them. This happens when you delete your low search volume KWs.

At what point do you recommend increasing the Bids for KWs that are below first Page results according to Adwords?

When you have enough data on your initial run of ad spend. What we so is collect the winners (low hanging fruit) and then we do the below first page bid strategy to collect the next level (higher) of low hanging fruit. This is totally subject to how much you spend, and how fast you spend it.

The AdWords Editor stripped the quotes from my Ad group names for Phrase Match. Is that a bug or just the way it is?

If I can see a clear pattern of what days are the highest converting, then I start to optimize. Same for Geo and hour etc. Optimization is an ongoing process.

Should I focus on my best performing Cities to move on to Local Clients?

It's your business. If you can get a client in an area (before you're finished getting data), that's fine. You can still gather data from your national campaign/affiliate offer while you get local clients. There is no conflict there. I just taught you to use the data to find the "hotbeds" of activity (leads). Then to go get clients in those hot areas

Should just look for trends in my existing data and focus on cash flow first?

Existing trends from data first (recommended not required), cash flow always first. Then you can scale out with the trends and sub verticals.

When Impressions are low, should we increase max bid CPC or look for more long tail KWs?

When overall impressions for a campaign are low, yes. When impressions are low for a KW and you're getting traffic elsewhere in campaign, no. The first scenario I just described is low bid across campaign. The second scenario is a low or non performing keyword.

Why is my Phone Number unverified?

Unverified phone number means that your phone number that you listed in the ad was not on the web page you built. They must be the same phone number. Follow Will removing the navigation links increase our Ad Quality Score for Ads that use that landing page?

It wouldn't hurt to remove them. It can improve your score, because nothing else would be on the page (for higher relevance to your KW).

Follow Does the location setting have any impact on low search volume keywords? My campaign is currently for a single city. If I where to expand my location settings to include all of United States, would I have more keywords that are now low volume?

Some of the KWs would have search volume in different areas. How we choose to address this is by using Search terms and KW ideas (optimization) on a newly duplicated campaign (into a new area). The payoff for running the old set of completely unoptimized KWs has too little of a payoff versus just using your dialed in campaign versions which will drive new KW ideas that point to where the conversions are anyway. It will also do this faster and be much more cost effective.

I don’t understand what “search terms campaigns” means. Do you mean starting new campaigns using the search terms that converted? How often do I do that? Do they get put in there after just 1 conversion? How much budget should that campaign get?

You create a the Search terms campaign(New campaign) when a keyword brings a conversion in the regular campaign. Also we recommend a bid of $2-3.

Dimensions gives me the choice to see either "View: Call details" (where I am only able to add the "ad group" column) which gives me the times or "View: Search terms" which gives me the terms but not times. Is there a way around this?

No. This is why recommend using call recordings AND the Search Terms screen for overall data improvement. You will not get it to a 1 call level with call only ads. However, you can tell which KWs are converting by using SKAG (Single KW Ad Groups).

Does it matter to Google whether I use state names spelled out (ohio) or abbreviated (oh)? Is one way better than the other for SEO purposes?

spelled out is better (more specific). The difference is next to nothing though.

How can I use conversion pixels from my affiliate offer with my campaign?

Setting up conversions inside Adwords for call only ads is covered in Part 7, Video #45 and #46

what is the difference between creating a separate page for a winning keyword (which is getting conversions vs. creating a subdomain for the winning keyword and pointing it back to the same page?

We teach to use subdomains. Please review the training in Part 7 as it's there. The Search Term campaign starts immediately and runs continuously as it has your winning KWs in it. This will lower your overall costs for the KW, campaign and even on the account level. We recommend you run with three versions of the converting KW (broad OR BMM, phrase and exact). All low search volume KWs shown even in the Search Terms campaign MUST be deleted immediately.

For the main campaign, when do I increase the max cpc? Every week or can I do it sooner? Do I increase the max cpc for every keyword in the main campaign or only those that have the status "Below first page bid"?

When you see impressions, then you can stop raising bids for a bit and see what converts. Optimize your converting KWs then move on to the next level of bid increase and optimize those new converting KWs that come in. This is the below first page bid strategy found in Part 7. The rate at which you increase will most likely be every 2-3 weeks, until no longer profitable.

Who answers the calls for the Ads?

The Ads would forward to a phone number that is part of the third party service (US trained and based operators). Once you get a client, you would then forward the calls directly to the client's phone number.

What KWs will be used in the Campaign for a new City?

You duplicate the successful campaign, so yes, only the KWs that you have optimized for and what you have kept will be used in the new city. You do not start with raw KWs, but you do start with raw bid adjustment settings.

Can I insert in the Ad copy description line(s)KWs that are longer than 35 characters?

Dynamic KW insertion with KWs longer than 35 chars will show Ad copy instead of the KW

Is it okay to make the Ad Copy in Spanish since I am in the San Antonio area and my niche is water damage?

You can make one sure. I would make a new campaign (same settings and locations, just Spanish language only) to target better.

How many Ad copy variations are too many?

Start with 1 ad and 1 Dynamic KW ad. Split testing can come later, when you have converting KWs

I've submitted campaign requests in affiliate networks. They say to send in my creatives for approval, I am quite unsure. What does this refer to?

Ad creative is the ad copy. Every affiliate network has a different process for submitting ad creative/ad copy. If you need assistance on this, your AM at the affiliate network can definitely walk you through how to submit your ad copy/ ad creative.

What level of clicks/call volumes do I need to reach before I stop raising the bids?

You raise your bids until you start getting traffic, calls and conversions. There is no set level as every campaign will be different.

How exactly do we know when to stop raising all the bids and just sitting and waiting to watch conversions coming in so we can optimize?

When you're getting traffic, you'll stop raising bids and start optimizing your KWs that are getting traffic. We call it low hanging fruit. After that is done, you'll raise your bids on the below first page bids only (in training under part 7 optimization).

How would you handle clients that miss almost all their calls plus recieved a few unqualified calls but never put in a request for swapping out calls and then they do a charge back?

Get a new client. a client that understands the value of leads in general and the high value in your live phone call leads. If you have to sell someone on the idea of leads, you're targeting the wrong people. Right now, there are way too many people that need/want leads and will appreciate the high quality you can deliver on. Focus on those people. Put another way: FIND your client, NOT create your client. Once you get built up enough creating clients may be worth your time, but you'll be so le...

Wouldn't I get more clicks if a local number show up in the Ad?

No. Google uses 800s and local numbers.

Do you recommend a higher starting point for bids because we're more likely to get the higher intent KWs?

I recommend starting low as you can to see traffic. It will be different for every vertical. If that means $1, then it means $1. Google will tell you where to start more or less to start getting traffic in.

How do you make your existing Call Only Ads connect with your new Ad groups and KWs?

How do you make your existing call only ads connect with your new ad groups and keywords?

When you add new KWs and Ad groups into the Adwords Editor by the thousands, will it automatically filter out any duplicate KWs and Ad groups?

No. It will not be duplicated for you. You have to do that yourself.

What are some things to consider before running the Campaign?

Use the Adwords Editor to delete your Adgroups with no KWs in them. The Ad groups can be identified by the error symbol and sorted by that symbol to bulk delete them. Change targeting from US to state by state. We provide a list of states to copy paste this process for you. Break your schedule up into blocks of time (for future optimization)

Can you show me how to merge Regional Capital and Regional Capital Funding campaigns?

You don't. That's why you make the campaign entirely from scratch using the Adwords Editor.

Can you help me resolve an alert that says I have 1,000 Ad groups that need targeting?

These would be the Ad groups that no longer have KWs in them (when you delete out low search volume KWs, this is what happens). Use the Adwords Editor to delete the ad groups with no KWs in them.

My question is about this, in the training I have seen with Chris Winters, he says NOT to use Google Forwarding? In the Kallzu training platform, William says to select it? Which one is correct and what exactly is it for?

You do use Google forwarding for Google Adwords. This is a Phone Number that you will either get from Google or from your Kallzu Platform. When someone clicks on the Ad and calls the phone number, it will forward the call to your Clients directly. Please note that it is possible that Chris was referring to SEO. SEO and Google adwords are two different programs with different structures.

May I pause the Campaign to stop Ads from running or is there another way that I should prevent my ads from running, while we are setting everything up and reviewing it?

Pausing campaigns keeps ads from showing yes.Remember to remove low search volume KWs as you cannot see them when campaign is paused.

I have a lot of Ad groups with no Kws. Is there a fast way to delete them?

There are two ways: Adwords platform upper right hand corner, you should have a notification about some ad groups not having KWs or ads in them. You can click that notification and it will take you to a management screen for that. Or you can use the Adwords Editor, by clicking on the campaign, then ad groups and sorting by the notification status column on the left hand side of the top main section of the Adwords Editor screen. You should see a bunch of red circles (indicating error).

Where do I find the Cost per Call?

Cost Per Click is still what you're looking for, just on Call Only Ads. You can find this information by creating a call only ad manually in the Adwords platform and using the traffic estimator for each KW (when setting up the ad).

Do I create a new Ad in addition to the original that uses only that Kw and points to the new sub-domain I created?

No, you just update the existing ad or create a duplicate, edit it with new targeted ad copy and subdomain and delete the original ad as it is no longer as targeted for a converting KW.

The Zip code list exceeds the amount that Adwords Accepts. what do I do?

You make 2 campaigns 1 with 10k zips and another with 9k zips. Make the campaign settings exactly the same, with exception to the locations.

Do we use CPM?

We don't use CPM. We use CPC. Update your campaigns to CPC, not CPM. You can also do this in the Adwords Editor.

Why are the Calls being dropped?

Look at your search terms and listen to your call recordings to see if the calls are targeted. Then see where the calls are dropping.

When do we start the optimise and scale process?

This depends on how much you're spending, how big your location is that you're targeting. You need to have enough data. How do you know when you have enough? Check out Coaching Call #8 and #9.

How do I schedule the Ad so that the time matches with my timezone?

Start with 0:00-4am your time. If it's 24 hours it doesn't matter anyway. This should work if you break it into 6 blocks starting at midnight going to midnight.

How/When do i remove "Press 1"?

You have to have conversions that are targeted first in order to get "Press 1" removed by affiliate network. Keep adding negative KWs and new KW ideas from call recordings and search terms screen.

Won't adding negative KWs lower the impressions?

Negative KWs need to be added, regardless of impressions lowering or not. Bad KWs are bad KWs. Use your Search Terms screen and call recordings to generate new KW ideas!

Will my impressions drop after adding negative KWs or do you think adwords will distribute my budget to the other more relevant KWs?

Yes. Basically, your budget goes to where the traffic is (good and bad KWs). Once negatives are added, the only versions left are the ones you want.

Should I build out the campaigns in the current Google Adwords account or start a new one?

You can do either or. Ultimately, you'll build up google love on an account level even if starting from scratch. So whatever works best for your comfort and ease of use/reference.

How do I sign up for the voicemail drops for kallzu Ads program?

At the bottom of Part 8, you'll see a link for Syd's VM Drop service. It is complete with a scheduling

What's the cost difference between the landing pages for Call Only Ads and Regular Text Ads?

A click on a call only ad, the person never sees a landing page. Their phone is populated with a phone number to dial and all they have to do is hit the call button on their phone. No landing page is ever seen. On regular search, they HAVE to go to a landing page. Big difference in total cost per call between the two, for sure.

If someone searches for "plumber suburb A" which is located in city A, will my ad show up even though I've only got the "city A" in my locations set up?

If the location boundary includes the suburb in the location listed, then yes. This also assumes you have enough ad rank to show at the top 2 positions. I would recommend you use cities (suburbs too), counties and zips in your locations.

Will my Ad show even though I haven't added [Place] to the KW?

If you have [Place] in your location settings, yes. This is the primary way we do campaigns. Location based KWs are used after everything is dialed in as much as possible (and usually only for local clients).

With the locations setting, can I add in the suburbs as well as the city name as a whole?

Use cities, counties and zip codes too! :)

When checking for winning Ads. Is there a minimum metric that triggers the review?

Base it on number of impressions and performance on impressions. A clear winner can usually be determined with at least several hundred impressions. Be aware proper statistical analysis requires at least 5,000 data points (5,000 impressions in this case)

What goes into the Search Terms Campaign?

Converting KWs go into Search Terms campaign. New KW ideas go into main campaign (call recordings or from search terms). New KW ideas are NOT the same as converting KWs. Every KW in the Search Terms campaign gets its own unique page and subdomain. That's why the KW is in the Search Terms campaign! If you have KWs that haven't converted yet in your Search Terms campaign, you're doing it wrong. Course correct immediately.

You recommend creating individual campaigns for each KW source, like you’ve done in the training for SEMrush and Search terms?

You can do this. Especially if you're wanting to see the quality of KWs you can produce from each source (in terms of profitability). Remember to review KW Robot Syndrome training, Coaching Call #3 before finalizing your KWs.

Where do I find the training about formatting a Subdomain for optimization?

Part 7, Video #52.1 and Part 8, bottom of the page, BoFL training page has tons on subdomains.

Tips to improve my performance?

What I can suggest is to review your Ad copies, bids, KW relevance (web page) and high buyer intent KWs. These all affect your costs in Adwords.

Does that $50 limit count for each KW, or is it for the group?

The daily budget applies for the whole campaign. Not per Ad group or KW.

Is it in the Adwords Ad itself, that I actually put the number that I bought from Twilio?

Yes. Then forward your twilio number (in Kallzu 2.0) to your affiliate promo number given.

If my Affiliate Offer is all US, is it better to get Toll Free Number rather than Local Number from Twilio?

A Toll Free number would be better for a National Campaign, yes.

How can I remove the Ad Groups after removing Low Volume KWs?

Two ways. 1. Adwords Editor, sort by the warning symbols in upper left hand side of main window, while under ad groups. Delete all that have the error message in red, then post changes. 2. Adwords platform. Google notifications in upper right hand corner should prompt you to do something about all those ad groups and will take you to a screen where you can then delete them. Update as of June 9: Quicker way - Adwords Editor Download the campaign - Get the Full Download - of the campaign yo...

I see a call blocking message, a lot. Why the initial blocking message if you can override it and make the call anyway?

This is most likely a privacy setting on your phone. This will vary per person that sees your ad and is completely out of our control. This is why we use urgency as well.

The videos show only 1 KW per Ad group. When/how do we add rest of the KWs?

If you have 5,000 KWs, then you'll have 5,000 ad groups each with 1 KW in them. 4,329 KWs? Same thing. 4,329 Ad groups with 1 KW in each of them.

How do I find out (generally) how much a Call is worth?

Check out Coaching Call #10 -Selecting the right vertical.

How can I find out what the volume of the Calls will be?

You can use the google forecaster inside the KW planner to get an idea of what the volume of calls would be. It is only an idea. The only way to get an exact answer for volume is to run campaigns and look at the history. Do some math on when you optimize and scale what the volume would look like in the end. That's it. No alternative that's more accurate. Anything else is a guess, even if educated guess.

What do we do after we delete these Low Search Volume KWs?

We delete low search volume and rarely showns out of the gate, not after you're getting conversions. The status of KWs changes all the time. If you have converting KWs, optimize them! Keep them and expand on them with new KW ideas. Use your Search Terms and call recordings for new KW ideas as well.

When using Adwords do I need to upload the KWs by match type separately? i.e. Broad, Phrase and Exact?

When you copy/paste the KWs in, make the KW is in match type you want. It will load in the correct way, but it won't show on the Adwords Editor. It's a bit "buggy", remember? You can post changes to Adwords and then look to confirm your KWs are good to go in the campaign. If they are not, adjust and you'll be fine. You can go in and change them one by one when you have a KW selected, look to the bottom part of the screen and there will be a drop down menu that should be on "broad". You can also...

In Settings, where can I find the Default CPC Bid tab, above the Budget tab?

Settings can be found under Ad Groups tab.

Can you explain about the time blocks or point me to the video that explains what blocks do and how to use them later?

Part 7, Vireo #51. The idea is explained in the training. We want to track WHEN the conversions come in, so we can optimize on that data.

My highest quality score is 6/10 and most are only 3-5/10. How can I boost my quality score to above 7 where I’ll start seeing CPC discounts and higher ad positions?

Search term campaigns take time to build up value within Adwords. There is not set time or dollar amount that we know of for this (it differs offer to offer and campaign to campaign). What you can do is keep the offer live (longer than your competition), work on improving your CTR, ad copy, new KW ideas, listen to your call recordings and keep adding converting terms to your Search terms campaign.

What should my daily Budget be?

Start with the daily budget you're comfortable with. It doesn't matter about below first page bids. We're after the low hanging fruit.

Is there a point where you are spending so much money on a campaign that Google lowers your cost per call?

They will reward you not on spend, but on quality of campaign. You still have to lower the bids on some of those expensive KWs though.

Is there a way of duplicating the campaign in the Adwords Editor or in the Adwords Platform?

Yes, it's in the BoFL training, bottom of Part 8 link to page

What Number should I use for a National Campaign?

Toll free on a national campaign is always your best bet.

I only need more than 1 Empire Today (and Kallzu) number if I'm testing different Ads right?

You can use an additional number to test anything. I would not recommend testing with a different number with each ad. That would drive you nuts and for no reason. We track conversions and results by the KW in Adwords. Use a different number by the campaign.

Can you tell me why KWs would run for a couple of days at one price, and then suddenly double, triple and quadruple the next day?

Competition and quality score evaluation.

How long should I wait to remove KWs that aren't going to work?

Low search volume KWs are deleted immediately. KWs that are not performing are KWs that have clicks and no conversions. They can be deleted when you know you have several clicks and no conversions.

Does it make sense for me to attempt to bring down the cost of conversion by split testing different Ads?

Yes, as well as adding long tail versions of that KW to bring down costs on those less bid on KWs.

Does clicks/day: 5-6 mean that you're likely to get 5 clicks every 6 days?

It means that is what Google will try ot get for you based on your KW selection, bid and daily budget.

Should I be pausing particular Ad groups?

Not if it is profitable. Look at the bottom line, per KW. This is why we do 1 KW per 1 Ad Group

How many clicks and/or impressions do you allow before you assume that the KW is not likely to convert?

I go by clicks and I usually wait until several clicks with no conversions have been made.

My Conversions are extremely low. What do I do?

Use negative KWs, and target in on good converting KWs using your Search Terms and recorded phone calls.

I have 100 cities and 6000 Ad groups (KWs), how do I focus the winning KWs for that city?

Use the location setting in a duplicate campaign for each city. Duplication of campaigns is covered in Part 8 BoFL training, link at the bottom of the page.

Should I take the Search Terms and KWs and add the City name to the end of each KW and create Ad groups with these?

That is a last resort. We only use location based KWs when we have everything else dialed in!

Do I need only one generic domain name to run all of my Pay Per Call Ads in Google?

1 generic can work (as long as the "generic" is still main level category Ex. Home services). You can do 1 domain per campaign if you want. That is a bit extreme though.

What video explains the purpose of Dynamic KW Insertion?

They improve the ad by adding relevance to your ad group and to your ad. If someone uses a KW and it shows in ad, it is highly relevant. That means cheaper clicks for you. Part 7, Video #54.

I've got too many KWs, how do I weed out some of these KWs?

Look for high buyer intent. Put your consumer hat on and think like a buyer for a bit. What would you be most likely to type into your phone?

Does the copy that shows up after "keyword:" show up as well? Or is literally just the KW they typed in?

It is either the KW or the ad copy, never both. If the KW doesn't match, when typed in by user, then your ad copy will show instead.

How much monthly search volume for a particular KW justifies setting up a Campaign?

We don't go by 1 KW. We use 5,000-20,000 to start. Please check out Coaching Call #3 and Ms. Jeanne’s Case Study Part 3 for the KW Robot Syndrome training to help you with your KWs.

Just started this campaign, do I just let it sit for a few days until conversions come in?

Yes, and you monitor the amount of impressions that come in as well. Keep raising the bids until you get more traffic flow, then hold there (while conversions come in).

Once I begin receiving conversions do I raise my Max CPC bid for the entire campaign or just those that register "Below 1st Page Bid"?

You don't do this first, you get your converting KWs over into the search terms campaign. Then you do below first page bid strategy after.

What's the best way to remove the expensive KWs from this list?

The best way is to find the expensive KWs and look for long tail KWs from those expensive KWs. Long tails of expensive KWs are lower cost per click and still high buyer intent in most cases.

Once I go through and delete all the low search volume KWs how do I go about deleting the corresponding Ad groups and Ads, as those are still in my account?

You can do this two ways: Adwords Editor or in Adwords account. In account, go to top right notifications (bell symbol) and you should see a warning that you have ad groups with no KWs in them. Click on it and you can manage those ad groups (delete in this case) from Adwords. In the editor, you sort the columns by using the circle notifications top left of the main box (while under Ad Groups). You'll see all the errors (in red) and what the error is at the bottom of the main box. Select and dele...

Do I need to eliminate all uber expensive KW before I begin?

The KW planner shows bid estimates for KWs that are on regular search, not call only ads. Expensive KWs can be run to see what converts and then you optimize using long tail KW versions of the expensive KW (to lower costs and get higher buyer intent KWs too)

How do you set 3 Ads for a campaign and then have them show/rotate on ALL ad groups?

You create multiple ads and add them to the ad group. Each ad group is capable of having 20,000 ads in each ad group.

Can you use {kw} in the Business name field?

Yes you can.

How can the campaign be running and converting without the site?

This is a safety net support request. It is for people that can't duplicate a page. We don't build sites. We don't build pages out before you run a campaign, because we don't build ANY pages for a site/campaign until we have converting KWs to build them for.

Do we do dynamic Ad insertion with the KW being used in the Ad group from the beginning of the campaign?

Yes. You do use dynamic KW insertion from the beginning.

Would it make even the test/start up Ads more relevant and lower the cost of clicks right from the start?

Yes, this is the entire purpose of Dynamic KW insertion Ad.

We create both Ads but do we run the Campaigns with both Dynamic and none Dynamic Ads and if so why?

Yes. It increases the relevance of the Ad group itself, when running.

Can you get in trouble for having Company names in the Search term?

You can if not allowed in the offer. Check the offer page and your AM at affiliate network to confirm this if is ok or not.

How do you do Bulk changes to Campaigns?

I personally change the settings for each campaign after I upload them using the Editor. One of those settings is to change the campaign over to Call only Ads (while it is still under review).

When I use the Adwords tool - it is saying Ads under review. Why?

Google has to approve what you submit fist, same as if you created them all manually.

Can I control the region my Ads show up in within my Google Campaigns?

Yes, by Zip Codes exactly is what is recommended.

How do I find and delete those empty Ad groups?

Two ways.

My Calls are being dropped. What do I do?

Look at your search terms and listen to your call recordings to see if the calls are targeted. Then see where the calls are dropping (call duration under invoca)

When do we start the optimize and scale process map?

This depends on how much you're spending, how big your location is that you're targeting. You need to have enough data. How do you know when you have enough? Check out Coaching Call #8 and #9.

Lots of calls dropped between press 1 and Zip Code. Why?

You have to have conversions that are targeted first in order to get "Press 1" removed by affiliate network. Keep adding negative KWs and new KW ideas from call recordings and search terms screen.

My QS scores are low even for most of my Winners Campaign KWs. Any advice?

Some KWs just won't get fixed, no matter what you do. This can be due to heavy competition. The only way around this is to wait it out (can take a good long while). Which is why we always search for more and more KW ideas, while those take their time). Some KWs will get fixed, but it takes money, time and traffic to show improvement.

What if my negative KWs are receiving most of the impressions?

Negative KWs need to be added, regardless of impressions lowering or not. Bad KWs are bad KWs. Use your Search Terms screen and call recordings to generate new KW ideas!

If I delete the negative KWs that give impressions, will my impressions drop or do you think Adwords will distribute my budget to the other more relevant KWs?

Basically, your budget goes to where the traffic is (good and bad KWs). Once negatives are added, the only versions left are the ones you want.

Should I build out the Search Terms Campaigns in the current Google Adwords account or start a new one?

You can do either or. Ultimately, you'll build up google love on an account level even if starting from scratch. So whatever works best for your comfort and ease of use/reference.

How does Call Forwarding work?

You order your Twilio numbers through Kallzu platform and set them up. Then forward your new kallzu number to an Affiliate offer number or to a Local Client number.

Can you explain me why Google would set the CPC for Calls lower?

No, not intelligently anyway. My educated guess is volume differences between the two countries. More call volume possible means cheaper cost per click for call only ads. In the US, they ARE cheaper.

Assuming Ad text (and Landing Page conversion rate) is the same, there is no cost benefit of call-only Ads. Right?

A click on a call only ad, the person never sees a landing page. Their phone is populated with a phone number to dial and all they have to do is hit the call button on their phone. No landing page is ever seen. On regular search, they HAVE to go to a landing page. Big difference in total cost per call between the two, for sure

How come you claim it's a lower CPC for Calls only?

For our examples based in the US, it is cheaper (as shown). It won't be the exact same result for every country, which is also why we recommend starting with the US. Also, while the cost may be more on a call only ad click, consider that most of those clicks will result in a live call. Whereas the clicks for regular search will take more clicks for the same result (and that IS more expensive).

What happens when people search for "plumber Tampa" as an example. Will my ad show even though I haven't added "Tampa" to the KW?

If you have Tampa in your location settings, yes. This is the primary way we do campaigns. Location based KWs are used after everything is dialed in as much as possible (and usually only for local clients).

I have added Suburb & City to my KWs because I find that people mostly include the Suburb/City in their searches. Is that okay?

Locations are easy to change. location based KWs are not as easy. We recommend using locations settings. Location based KWs are a last resort even in a local campaign.

Only converted Ad groups/KWs and or Search Terms get their own Page/Subdomain. Am I correct?

Converting KWs go into Search Terms campaign. New KW ideas go into main campaign (call recordings or from search terms). New KW ideas are NOT the same as converting KWs. Every KW in the Search Terms campaign gets its own unique page and Subdomain. That's why the KW is in the Search Terms campaign! If you have KWs that haven't converted yet in your Search Terms campaign, you're doing it wrong. Course correct immediately.

When checking for winning Ads. Is there a minimum metric that triggers the Review?

Base it on number of impressions and performance on impressions. A clear winner can usually be determined with at least several hundred impressions. Be aware proper statistical analysis requires at least 5,000 data points (5,000 impressions in this case).

Do you recommend creating individual campaigns for each KW source, like you’ve done in the training for SEMrush and Search Terms?

You can do this. Especially if you're wanting to see the quality of KWs you can produce from each source (in terms of profitability). Remember to review KW Robot Syndrome training, Coaching Call #3 before finalizing your KWs

The industry depends heavily on TV, Radio and paid Adwords marketing, but my question is if it would lend itself to a decent conversion with Pay Per Call Ads?

Only testing will give you the correct answer. If you're asking my thoughts (which is not the same thing), then I would tell you that it can work, but it won't be crazy volume and your pricing will be higher than what you see in the training.

The first call answered got billed as a repeated call (even though it wasn't answered before). Why?

All calls following the first qualified call will be marked as repeated call and will be marked as returned call and price charged will be according to the rate you set for a return call

What do you do if you start a Campaign and ALL KWs are Below First Page bids?

Start low, regardless of below first page bids and dial in the campaign (optimize first), then when scaling use the below first page bid strategy taught.

What would you suggest charging in order to get pass the "data gathering" phase and start zeroing in and tweaking?

We offer you several ways to go about this and we recommend them all. They are all unique and so we don't make recommendations of one over the other. We let you decide which path you will take. All paths we recommend require data. Without it, you won't be able to make any optimizations or scaling decisions.

Do I just now need to change the KW targeting for exact match & phrase & then duplicate that in a new Search Terms Campaign?

Take Converting KW put into Search Terms campaign. Remove from Main campaign. Make Phrase and Exact versions of Converting KW. Add them to Search Terms campaign. Optimize all 3 with Subdomain and custom KW page as taught in training.

When I follow along I only get ranges, not actual figures. Why?

When you don't spend money with Adwords, they give you ranges. When you start spending money with them, they give you more exact estimates (that still aren't the most accurate but better than a range).

Can we know what KW originated the call?

If you follow the training each KW can be tracked for conversions when optimizing (Part 7).

Just to confirm, you recommend creating individual Campaigns for each keyword source, like you’ve done in the training for SEMrush and Search Terms?

You can do this. Especially if you're wanting to see the quality of KWs you can produce from each source (in terms of profitability). Remember to review KW Robot Syndrome training, Coaching Call #3 before finalizing your KWs

You can do either or. Ultimately, you'll build up google love on an account level even if starting from scratch. So whatever works best for your comfort and ease of use/reference.

Do you add the exact and phrase match for that converting KW into the Ad Group?

No. When you have a converting KW, you take that KW out of the Main campaign and put it into a new campaign labeled Search Terms. This is your campaign full of all your converting KWs. It is in that campaign that you create 3 versions of your converting KW (Broad/BMM, Phrase, and Exact). Each new KW version will still have its own Ad group! 1 KW, 1 ad group! That never changes, ever!

After removing Negative KWs and adding them to the Negative KW List, will Adwords distribute my budget to the other more relevant KWs?

Yes. Basically, your budget goes to where the traffic is (good and bad KWs). Once negatives are added, the only versions left are the ones you want

What if the Negative KWs are receiving most of the Impressions?

Negative KWs need to be added, regardless of impressions lowering or not. Bad KWs are bad KWs. Use your Search Terms screen and call recordings to generate new KW ideas.

The QS scores are low even for most of the Winning Campaign KWs. What do I do?

Some KWs just won't get fixed, no matter what you do. This can be due to heavy competition. The only way around this is to wait it out (can take a good long while). Which is why we always search for more and more KW ideas, while those take their time). Some KWs will get fixed, but it takes money, time and traffic to show improvement.

When do we start the optimize and scale after the Ad launches?

This depends on how much you're spending, how big your location is that you're targeting. You need to have enough data. How do you know when you have enough? Check out Coaching Call #8 and #9.

Should I just add every State like you show, and then monitor very short Phone Calls to weed out certain States?

No need to. You may use the zip codes in your locations; 10 or 20k per campaign (AdWords limit). Saves you a lot of money and time that way

There are Keywords Campaign level and Adwords in both campaigns. Is this the problem with impressions?

This issue might stem from Keywords not being optimized. Also, for the Campaign; change the Ad Delivery settings to Rotate Indefinitely. You may review Part 7 Adwords-Call Only Ads-Campaigns-Optimization-Scaling to ensure that you are following all the instructions necessary to get good results

Any advice on how do I can improve my QS?

Improve CTR. Run ads over time. Use Search Terms screen to find long tail versions (cheaper and more targeted) of your converting KWs that cost more.

On Mary's Hot seat last week, she talked about the Main Campaign, Search campaign, and test campaign. Where do I find the Training?

Watch Coaching Call #8 and 9. Also, check out the Pest Control Case Study under Part 9. Basically, you only use the original campaigns to test which keywords get conversions & find new KWs from the search queries to add. Once a kw gets a conversion, transfer them to the search the only campaign. We then optimize only the KWs in the search only campaign & delete from original

Why would I get more clicks with lower bids?

The idea is to gather research on KWs using the KW planner. We start low on bids and then increase slowly over time. Even if KWs are not at recommended bids, they will still get traffic and you will still see conversions. This is called the low hanging fruit. Then we work our way up by using the below first-page bid strategy, getting all the rest of the profitable and converting KWs. Raising your bids will raise your QS (to a point) and from there if your ads are performing well, your QS will go...

Why would I get more clicks simply by changing my daily budget even though the total cost of the clicks never reached my total daily budget amount?

We recommend starting with enough of a budget to drive calls but be still be able to scale up by daily budget, once my campaign is dialed in. The daily spend is dependent on the volume, so it will be used up if there is enough volume. Also, Google will tell you if you are below the recommended daily budget and if you are losing clicks due to not enough money (Check Part 7 of the training for how to read reports and numbers).

It it would appear the best way to set up the campaign is with a super cheap bid amount?

The aim is to raise bids until you start to see traffic come through, then use the below first page bid strategy (part 7).

Would it help if I got a Subdomain for those words even though they are not converting well at this point to help move them along?

Not necessarily. You only make new pages and Subdomains for the KWs that are converting. Try implementing other methods to optimize your Ads as found in the training videos.

Should we change our settings to Optimized Ad Rotation as Google Suggests?

No. Continue to use the recommendations given here. As stated in a previous response from us, the way we do things is contrary to Google's advice in a lot of cases

Might you have a handy bullet list for Adwords Quality Score Improvements?

Improve CTR. Increase bids. Optimize the landing page. Run ads over time. Use Search Terms screen to find long tail versions (cheaper and more targeted) of your converting KWs that cost more. Use high intent Keywords, with buyer urgency. Not every KW can or will be a 10/10 QS. Sometimes, there is nothing you can do about a lower quality score (competition and or lower relevancy according to Google).

What should I do in order to spend all the Budget?

It might be that there is not enough call volume and your KW process may be off. Check Coaching Call #3 and Ms. Jeanne's case study part 3 for KW Robot Syndrome to help with this. So you may review the training and start optimizing based on what is taught. KWs is 80% of the heavy lifting here. Check your search terms to see what people are typing in and to reveal their intent. You can't make intelligent decisions on data you don't have yet. Look for clear patterns that show in your data. If yo...

I got Clicks but they were all people looking for other Businesses. How can I prevent that?

Update your negative Keyword list with all the Keywords that you do not want to be included in the results.

In the Adwords training it seems like we are to use one KW per Ad Group. Initially, do we really make 5-20,000 Ad Groups?

You will add only 2 ads (one dynamic KW, one generic ad), 1 KW per 1 ad group. Please review Keyword Discovery Part 5 and Part 8 and the Battle of Fort Lauderdale page. You may upload the KWs and ad groups with the Adwords editor.

What’s the best practice to add them in Adwords campaign location settings by City or by Zip Code?

If the Advertiser gave you a list of Zip Codes, you run by Zip Codes.

Adwords Campaign location limit is 10K but the Advertiser gave me a list with 20K Zip Codes. How can I overcome it?

Location limits are 10k per campaign, so you would run two identical campaigns, with only the locations being different between the two campaigns. Same settings, nothing changes, just locations (10k in one, 10k in the other).

What if I accept an Offer and then find out, even after a hunk of optimizing, that it doesn't bring a profit or even loses money? Can I opt out at that point?

The best advice would be to do some research on profitable offers (or offers that have a potential of being profitable). The aim is not to abort an offer whenever you perceive that the campaign is not being profitable. Once you are confident in the offer, good faith says to stick it out and try the necessary means and suggestions (which you may get from us) to ensure that the campaign is successful. You can always transition over to local clients and take an affiliate offer that isn't profitable...

After removing Low Search Volume KWs, I was left with 270KWs. May I try Location based KWs?

We don't recommend that. It isn't going to get you more volume on a local campaign. It is more narrow of a target. 270 KWs is a good start after low search volume. GO back, read the response to your KW review request and use the information. New KW ideas, urgent, high buyer intent KWs, etc. This is what drives the volume. Also consider your bids may be too low to drive high volume out of the gate. We teach you to bring things up on a slow control pace so that you can find all the low hanging fru...

I did a Test Call and found that they have 2 questions: They ask to click #1 to proceed and they ask to insert their Zip Codes in order to link with the Local Service Provider. Can I do custom IVRs for both or only for the first one?

You are able to do a Custom IVR for both, however, you may contact your AM to inquire about the additional info in the IVR. They will then clarify what the specific requirements for the offer are. That will determine if you do both or n

If I upload my IVR file and then insert the Kallzu number, isn’t it a loop again to start, since it redirects to the Promo Number?

The recording will not start over if done correctly. Please review Video #64 for a refresher.

Please can someone tell me if Call Dropping, where the customer has to press the options button, is normal?

Split testing offers help (Use the round robin feature in Kallzu software). Speak with your AM. Most of the time, if you're driving good quality calls, they will modify the IVR to exclude the "Press 1" for you. This was covered in Pest Control Case Study.

What is the quickest way to delete obvious bad KWs other than going through the entire 20k list manually?

Please review the Training in Part 7 (Especially Video #50.1)

I am getting Calls from an area that I do not offer service to. Is there anyway to fix this in Adwords?

Add the zip codes and locations for areas that you do not offer service in to your Negative KW list. You may also research similar companies in those areas and add them to the Negative KW list

Does a forever paused Campaign (no starting and stopping) affect my status?

You may delete all Empty Ad groups out. You can do this by using the Adwords Editor or by using the notifications in the Adwords platform (upper right hand corner). Click on it and use the prompts under alerts to delete out empty ad groups. Or under the Adwords Editor sort by the notifications column in upper left hand of top window

In Adwords, it seems to not be possible to change the Timezone. Do you see other alternatives so I can better match spending versus Affiliate commissions?

Use 1 set time zone and use Google search to show you the time difference for each Campaign you setup based on the set time zone. This is how everyone sets up their Campaigns.

Do I use the copy/paste functionality for Adwords into the Winning Campaign?

Yes, you would.

I am worried that pausing the Adword Group might affect my overall Adword Account/Campaign status. Or does that not matter?

We greatly discourage pausing Low Search Volume KWs (These are to be deleted). We advise that you do not pause any of the Adwords or Campaigns either as it may affect long term results, as Google has to re-evaluate your Ads, KWs, bids, etc. every time you start and stop again.

Where do I find the Training on how to increase bids for locations and/or time slots with high conversions?

We use a Below First Page Bid strategy (part 7). When you dial in (optimize the converting KWs) then you won't have to raise bids to accomplish higher page position-in most cases. Also in Part 7, Video #51 for Dimensions data optimization. Dimensions data optimization is also covered in the coaching calls section (look for where it is listed).

For National Campaigns, is it advised to use a Toll-Free number or rather a Local Number or does that not matter that much?

A Toll-Free number is what we recommend for National campaigns.

After removing 14,000 Low Search Volume KWs, there are only 110 KWs left. Is this number too low?

You should have way more KWs that are not low search volume. Yes, a lot will be low search volume, but only having 110 KWs to start isn't near enough. Once you remove low search volume KWs, run with those, then add in new KW ideas as you go.

My campaign is for Local Clients. Should I bid as low as taught in the training or is it not necessary?

I recommend starting low as you can to see traffic. It will be different for every vertical. If that means $1, then it means $1. Google will tell you where to start more or less to start getting traffic in. Google will also tell you if you are below the recommended daily budget and if you are losing clicks due to to not enough money. I recommend starting with enough of a budget to drive calls, but be still be able to scale up by daily budget, once your campaign is dialed in. When you're gettin...

Does pausing a Campaign have a negative effect overall Ad performance?

Pausing is not advised. Each time you pause it takes google awhile to adjust to when you start back up. Campaigns that are left running and just optimized see better long term results, because they spend the most money and have less down time for google to deal with.

Does it hurt the Campaign if maximum spend is less than $50-$100 per day?

Not if you do not have the volume to use the budget; if you do have a lot of volume, you would need to raise the budget.

Any advice for Local Clients Campaigns?

Since it is a Local Client offer, add the Counties and Zip codes for the locations as well. Remember KWs are 80% of the heavy lifting here. Study up on KW Robot Syndrome located in Ms. Jeanne's case study part 3 and coaching call #3. Review the Search terms training for new KW ideas. These new KW ideas help you expand out on expensive KWs that do convert into log tail versions of those same KWs that convert. Long tail is always going to be cheaper, so that's how you lower costs while still maint...

What is the recommended waiting period before making changes to the Campaign?

You begin to make changes/optimize whenever conversions start to come in. Time is irrelevant when collecting data (in terms of "how much time"). It is about having enough data to see patterns emerge. When you can see a pattern, you optimize for it. Go over part 7 for this training, it's all there

Is it possible to make an Ad with (attached) Message, into the one that would say YES?

Yes, it is possible. It is on a KW by KW basis. Some will improve over time (traffic and conversions), and others will not improve no matter what you do. If you follow the training on site setup and continue to improve your ad copy (split testing) then you will see improvement where it can be had.

Do I have access to Copy and Paste a Campaign?

We do not do copy/paste campaigns, mainly because we want everyone to branch out into different verticals. You'll find thinking creatively in this area to serve you very well.

The problem is how do I select to create Ads for these new Adgroups only?

You may try using the Filters. Please see Video #61 - Advanced Tools & Strategies: Adwords Editor-Start To Finish or the Adwords Editor will show you errors on the ad groups with no ads in them. Either way works just fine.

My Conversion rate is low. What could be the reason for this?

Remember KWs are 80% of the heavy lifting here. Study up on KW Robot Syndrome located in Ms. Jeanne's case study part 3 and coaching call #3 (https://kallzu.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/3). Review the Search terms training for new KW ideas. These new KW ideas help you expand out on expensive KWs that do convert into log tail versions of those same KWs that convert. Long tail is always going to be cheaper, so that's how you lower costs while still maintaining high intent KWs. Also the scaling sectio...

I've noticed a lot of "dead" Calls (Calls where people call in from their mobile, but failed to follow the IVR and press a button). What do I do?

You can talk with your AM and share the recordings so they can help you cut some of the IVR out. You can also add a custom IVR that will give you a lot of control.

Is it better to use 1 Google account for 1 vertical?

You may use one Google Account to do several different verticals. This is the way we teach it to be done. If you need more organization or just want multiple accounts, then you can do 1 account per vertical

Is it good to include the town and City name in the actual Ad or just target them?

Start with what we teach you then split test adding the city/location in the ad later.

Am I allowed to use my own tracking numbers?

You can, if you use them the way we teach you, but you have to stick to Google's TOS or they will disapprove your ads.

Should I have the client add my new tracking number to their website for safe review of google adwords?

Make your own pages for all campaigns. Remember, no one sees the pages and you want to be able to control the whole process.

William didn't mention DKI for 3-Ad Split testing strategy on a recent Coaching Call. Why not?

He didn't show KW insertion because we weren't discussing that topic. We were talking about split testing your main ads. Inside each ad group you will ALWAYS (now and forever) have a dynamic KW insertion ad (as taught). Just add in what we taught you recently for split testing your main ads.

Could we run a campaign to a voice mail service after hours? Is this something that Google would allow

You will set the schedule on adwords on when you want the campaign to run(Day and time of the week). I am not sure why you would want to send calls to voicemail(unless you are getting paid for those calls)but it can be done no problem (Adwords will allow it).

How to identify Keywords that brought conversion to your Adwords Campaign.

Conversions can be located inside the Adwords campaign using Search Terms. To get into Search Term, simply click on the campaign you have set and make sure that you are in Keywords Level and you'll be able to click on Search Term. (Please see image below) Inside Search Term, you'll be able to identify which Ad Group and Keyword your conversions came from. (See image below)

When moving a keyword that's converted from your main campaign to your search terms campaign, do you delete the ad group/keyword from your main campaign or just pause it?

After moving a keyword that gets converted from your main campaign to your search terms campaign. The Ad Group/Keyword from the main campaign should be deleted. Use two different ad groups, and as soon as a keyword converts we compensate it by creating separate ad groups/pages for it.

Where can I get more information in the training about increasing impressions while still keeping my bids low?

It is covered in part 7 - Below First Page Strategy training. Keep raising your bid until you start getting conversions, and make sure to check your keywords, ad copy, ad groups, settings, etc..

In Video #51 “Locations Schedules”, William mentioned a list of 50 states that he gave out, but it’s not in the download. Where is it

You'll find the list of the 50 states William used here: https://state.1keydata.com/

I'm getting "Rarely shown (low Quality Score)" for a Keyword with 1/10 quality score, is that treated the same way as Low Search Volume KW?

It is treated the same way. Please keep these types of keywords because the Quality Score can be improved via Ad Copy improvement mostly.

Invalid Clicks / Do you think Google refunds invalid clicks?

Google has a system that is prepared to examine each click on the Adwords Ad. Clicks on ads that Google considers to be illegitimate, such as unintentional clicks or clicks resulting from malicious software. When Google identifies that the clicks are invalid, they will try to automatically filter them from the reports and the payments so that you're not charged for those clicks. If they find that invalid clicks have escaped automatic detection, you may be eligible to receive a credit for those c...

Please define "Display URL" versus "Verification URL"

Display URL: The webpage address that appears with your ad. Verification URL: Can be the landing page URL for your business, that's only to verify your ad and phone number. It will not be directly displayed on your ad.

How much do you typically charge a plumber per month?

At least double what you spend - so if it costs you $20-30 USD to get a call you should sell it for $40-60. 33% for you, 33% for the business and 33% on operation costs.

How do we use HEADLINES 1 & 2 in Google Adwords

You will key in the Headlines in the Adwords Editor and you will do it per AD GROUP. It should look like this: Headline 1: This should be a question (a yes or no question) that targets what people may have like a problem Headline 2: You will put qualifiers/business qualifiers (years of experience, etc) + Call to Action (Call Now!/ Call Us Now!)

What shall we do for KWs that are not Below First page bids, and never got traffic yet?

Leave it be or where it is (the keywords are on the first page), if it's an eligible KW. Only bump below first-page bid KWs for $1-2 every couple of days and only stop bumping bids for the below firs-page Kws after you get impressions, clicks, and calls.
